A Pan Am-inspired restaurant with great food, drinks, atmosphere, and service.

Flight Bar and Grill

Flight Bar and Grill is a restaurant that takes its inspiration from the high-flying Pan Am era. The owners, Marianne and Matt Pachas, have created a space that is both fun and welcoming.

From the menu, patrons can enjoy their burger named “The Foundation,” which uses 80% lean beef that is never frozen. The food also includes Flight fries, Bomber Sliders (named after the local youth football team mascot), and more.

Great food

Flight restaurant and wine bar offers a diverse menu with options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. It is the ideal place to meet with friends or enjoy a romantic evening. The staff is courteous and professional, making this a great choice for business or leisure travelers alike.

The menu features a sublime selection of small share plates, grazing boards, mains, sides and steaks off the grill. Highlights include wagyu tataki, truffle arancini, and glazed pork belly bites. For a more substantial meal, try the sweet potato gnocchi with garlic cream sauce or the Maryland duck confit with pomegranate jus.

The menu also includes a delicious range of cocktails, craft beers and local wines. The bar also hosts monthly wine, whiskey, and gin and cheese pairing events. These events are a must-try for anyone who loves pairing food and drinks.

Great drinks

Flight Wine Bar & Restaurant offers a wide selection of drinks. They have a drink for every occasion, from classic favorites to creative concoctions. They also have a diverse wine list that pairs perfectly with their delicious food. Save room for dessert, as they have a number of delicious options to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Adding flights–curated, miniature portions of various drinks–to your menu can help you increase sales by introducing clientele to new spirits and flavors. For example, Fine & Rare in New York features three different $25 gin and tonic flights: Botanist served with dehydrated chamomile flowers and lemon peel; Hendrick’s with cucumber and rose petals; and Old Raj by Cadenhead with cinnamon sticks and safflower. Kefi, a Greek small-plate concept in Knoxville, Tennessee, serves 18 draft cocktails that can be ordered as a three-pour flight for $21. This is an excellent way to introduce people to forgotten classics.

Great atmosphere

The atmosphere at Flight is fun and relaxing. Warm brick accents flank classy matte black walls decorated with aviation decor. A great selection of music plays at just the right decibel level – never too loud to overpower conversations and always lively enough to create a good vibe. The bar is a great place to grab a drink or a bite to eat. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

The food is delicious. Their burgers are super juicy and flavorful with a pillowy bun & crispy crinkle cut fries. They have a huge variety of craft beer on tap. They also have an extensive wine list with something for everyone!

Owners and sommeliers Kabir Amir and Swati Bose have traveled the globe selecting wines for Flight’s robust menu. They focus on small, family-owned estates and lesser-known varietals and regions. They also offer a number of wines by the glass.

Great service

Located post-security, the Coastal Bend Bar & Grill is a great place to relax before your flight. It offers a variety of grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, fruit cups and yogurt parfaits. In addition, the bar offers a limited selection of beer and liquor.

Flight picks up where its long-term predecessor Dresner’s left off with burgers and the like, but it also ventures into new territory. Its menu includes mussels in a spicy chili sauce, which are a hit with locals.

The Pacha’s have woven community into the entire brand of their restaurant. They lean into the community school brand by using the Ballard high school’s mascot as their name and by offering the Foundation Burger, which benefits students in the district. The owners even support the high school golf team during the off-season by allowing them to use their golf simulator. Their hospitality extends to the staff, who offer impeccable service.
